AMRON ASSOCIATES Turning concepts into reality

Our History

Amron Associates was formed in 2002 by Trevor and Norma Henshaw with Trevor previously having over ten years’ experience developing stainless steel meshes into the UK and Irish architectural marketplaces.

From inception, it was their vision for Amron Associates to be the innovators in architecture. They built Amron Associates around the principles of offering not only new and innovative metal mesh products into the architectural and interior design marketplaces but also providing a personal service. They felt it was essential that every solution they offered was practical and cost effective and as a standard they believed technical advice, on fixing details and installation, to full fill the aesthetic requirements of their client’s projects was critical.

Building up good relationships with architects, designers, construction companies, fabricators and installers enabled Amron to be regularly specified for major projects. The increase in demand for new an innovative products in the architectural industry meant Amron's product range and portfolio was ever expanding.

The ability to understand and see the architects and designers vision meant Amron was able to offer constructive product advice. Due to this Amron are proud to have been involved in numerous award winning projects and Sterling Prize finalists including Alsop’s Fawood Children’s Centre, Theis & Khan’s Batemans Row and the 2014 winner, Haworth Tompkins Everyman Theatre in Liverpool.

With this diversity it also meant that Amron were able to supply a wide variety of products for numerous areas of the “London 2012” project. Products supplied ranged from pre-crimped woven wire and welded meshes for bridge balustrade in fill panels, CableNet Xtend for retail and exhibition stands, bespoke fencing panels and 1080No. fountain and light grilles and supports for Granary Square.

Working closely with architects and designers and advising them about products that are suitable for applications meant Amron’s reputation for honesty and integrity have been the basis for their success.

Amron's diverse range of high quality projects have been involved in a range of different applications over the years. For example cladding buildings including the unique Keith Williams designed roof tower of the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury to cladding a the whole Airkix Sky Diving Centre building in Milton Keynes. Amron has also been involved in providing solutions for solar shading, some of these projects including AHR’s Holland Park School, Oxford and Cherwell College and Reading University where architectural metal mesh was used. Other applications includes safety and security where Amron's products have been used as continuous roof to floor balustrades for multi floor buildings. Amron has also supplied air distribution grilles for a wide range of applications including the Wilkinson Eyre / Pringle Brandon Mary Rose Museum and Candy & Candy’s One Hyde Park which were individually designed items for high quality residential properties.

Amron secured its largest order in its history at the beginning of 2015, for 3000sq/m of aluminium anodised Alpine mesh for a prestigous project France. With the new joint partnership with Wire Belt, Amron has been able to grow and expand at a rapid rate.

No matter how large or small the project, all clients have been and continue to be important to Amron, and are treated with the best attention at all times.
